On Saturday, March 3, the Faircrest Math Team competed at Massillon Washington High School. Twenty-one (21) schools and 755 students competed in five categories: Mental Computation, Geometry, Algebra, Number Sense, and Team Problem Solving. The Wildcats had a great showing with 31 out of 42 students placing within the Top 8. Fifth-grader Gracie Haddad and seventh-grader Jacob Duncan placed first in their categories. With his win, Jacob became only the 8th person in the last 17 years to become a three-time county champion.

In partnership with the National Inventors Hall of Fame, Faircrest Memorial Middle School is pleased to offer the nationally acclaimed Camp Invention program to children entering grades K-6. It’s an exciting, weeklong summer adventure with lessons that explore connections between science, technology, engineering and innovation. Children will work together to seek solutions to real-world problems and sharpen critical 21st century learning skills while rotating through several fascinating modules.
